Branislav Hruz was born in the former Republic of Czechoslovakia on April 8, 1968.
He studied law in Prague and received his law degree from The Charles University Law School in Prague, Czech Republic.
He was then afflicted by wanderlust and started traveling. He studied at the
University of Amsterdam at the Netherlands Center for Comparative European Social Studies for one year.
He came to the United States in August of 1994 on a fellowship from George Washington University where he studied for a Master in Laws and received his LLM.
He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, which is an international honor society and is the recipient of the Baltic East Central European Assistance Awards Program Scholarship (94-95) and the European Community Tempus Scholarship (90-91).
He speaks several languages including Slovak, Russian, Polish and of course English. He worked both in the US and in Prague for the law firm of Squire Sanders and Dempsey, LLP doing primarily corporate law. His work at Staresources, Inc., in Cleveland introduced him to the immigration practice. His current employment with Svetlana Schreiber has been interesting and exhilarating. His focus is on business immigration, asylum law, legal research for appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals and other federal courts, as well as other litigation.
