Vinh Trieu
 |
Vinh Trieu immigrated with his family to the United States in 1981 from Saigon,
Vietnam. After his family obtained their green cards, his mother and father applied to become
U.S. citizens and both passed the citizenship test. On February 6, 1990, Vinh, his siblings and
parents were sworn in as U.S. citizens.Even though Vinh was only thirteen years old when he became
a naturalized citizen, he was very proud of his parents for reaching their goal of becoming U.S.
citizens and having their children automatically become citizens as well. Vinh still vividly
remembers the day he proudly pledged the citizenship oath before a U.S. federal judge. One of the
greatest privileges of being able to live and work in America is the opportunity to receive public
education. Vinh graduated from high school with honors in 1996 and attended Western Michigan University.
He graduated from college in 2000 with honors and immediately attended law school. Vinh then
graduated from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 2003 and passed the July 2003 Ohio Bar Examination.
Vinh is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio and the Northern District of Ohio. He is a member of
the American Bar Association (ABA), Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA), and Cleveland Bar Association
(CBA). He is also a member of the ClevelandİMarshall Law Alumni Association (CMLAA). Vinh uses his
personal life experience as a motivation and encouragement to help other immigrants obtain their
citizenship, green cards, or visa needs.
